Boston 2012 Survivor
It seems amazing to me that we have been on this MM-5 campaign for four weeks! I must admit, it has not been easy to stay focussed but, having you all here as supporters sure has helped a lot.
Here is a quote that I found yesterday that made me think:
"We all need a continued sense of emotional and spiritual growth; it is the food on which our souls thrive. Tony Robins.
So, guys and gals, how did we do last week? What is your plan for week four? Tell us what made you successful, or what was the barrier between you and one less pound.
As for me, I will wait to weight until tomorrow, therefore I shall procrastinate to write out my plan for week four until then
Ah Boston. It’s the Carneghie Hall for runners. Mostly because you do get there through “practice, practice, practice” but it also takes some dedication to a goal with lots of pain involved in getting there. C-R
I am down about a pound to a pound and a half. (Hard to tell that precisely on my scale that-which-cannot-be-said.) So progress ...
Plan? Just keep running and not snacking so much ...

I can run again!!
Thanks for starting us off again Mariposai! I can't believe it has been 4 weeks already too!
Me minus 3.5 pounds today. My plan is to stay on course as I have been, eating sensibly 6 out of 7 days with one freebee day to eat what I want (within reason). I figure that there is no sense depriving myself of anything, because when I do get down to my happy weight, I want to be able to maintain it too.
Good luck everyone!!

MM - 3 by now. I'm happy with that.
OM Thanks for the yoga instructions, which I have printed off, and will give a try. I haveyet to read your RR, but look forward to.
Hopeful4ever You are doing great! I do what you do, and give myself one day off a week if I want to. That helps me get through from about Thursday to Sunday (my freebee day)
Mariposai - thanks for doing this. I love your quote today! My plan is to count Weight Watchers points, and most important is to not get toooooo hungry, or I will eat the wallpaper and not stop! Steady and easy does it.
Cute pic, Mary!
I think last week's weight gain were ghost pounds. This morning, I weighed in at 141.2, which is maintenance. I'll take 140-142, but get cranky when things hit 143. Anything under 140 is too hard to maintain.
The plan is to mostly stick with what I've been doing, but start including more fruits and veggies. It helps now that Shorty's home and cooking. My diet of granola-yogurt-apples, oatmeal, and eggs the past 9 months was getting old.

Mmm-blue moon ice cream!
Down another 1/2 pound. I'm the tortoise in this contest WTG Mary and Opie! I'd love to be down 3 or 4 pounds. I just need someone to come here and take away my eating utensils!
Sigh..........I've stalled out, with no net gain or loss since last week.
DH and I need to have a talk about food... he's recently assumed most of the cooking and food shopping duties and while I don't want to discourage him... he wants to cook with sauces and make desserts (which we almost never have had in the past), and shuns the healthy food if he really doesn't love it ("fish...ick!"). Last night he unexpectedly handed me a bowl of rice pudding he'd made. It was good, but...................
Problem is that he's overweight himself, doesn't care to do anything about it, and doesn't get why I want to stay slim and keep running.

Whoa! Down 6.5 -- where did that come from? I had to step back on the scale a couple of times to verify it, but that's what it says. Considering that I haven't done much running in the last week, I'm really surprised.
Doug, Runnin' in Rochester, MI
-1, which is me minus 4 pounds since we started this adventure.
What made me successful this week? A lot of snow playing plus running. Back to eating my oatmeal, one hard boiled eggs (which gives me the protein I need) and a fruit for breakfast. Drinking more water.
My barrier? Chinese food . I cooked too much yummie food for Chinese New Year.
Rochrunner, wowoww over 6 pounds...jeleous!
Good job everyone.
Way to hang in there everyone.
Down 1.5, I am really happy with that so far! Had some yummy high-calorie stuff over the weekend but resisted overeating - had numerous social events (office party, baby shower, get-together with friend and hub, and football party), in the past those kinds of things are killers and of course they always involve alcohol and desserts, which I avoid at home. More running as I get into the next training phase probably isn't hurting.
MM-0 today.
Not sure how that happened. I started to weigh myself about every other day so I can see what the pattern is as my weight can fluctuate 1-3 lbs on any given day. I was down 2.5 lbs just 48 hrs ago. Today, I'm right back EXACTLY where I started at the beginning of this campaign.
frick a frackety frack.

Tammy - try weighing yourself first thing in the morning, after a long pee.....it will be your lowest weight of the day!
I am hovering around -1 to -2, which isn't that bad since I don't feel like I have really tried as hard as I could with the food choices.

yep, that's what I do Enke. First thing in the a.m., after I use the bathroom. buck nekkid too.
