Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Day Plan Done
Tues 5-7 taking an extra day off to heal what I hope is nothing serious in my hip
Wed 8-10 only managed 5, oh dear
Thurs 7 oh dear, my legs have mutinied. Hoping they calm down for Saturday.
Sat 22-24 24 trail

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.
Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.

SubDood -- someone said the course was long?
Hmm, my Garmin said 13.3 mi, which is about what I'd expect for GPS error. It seemed like the same course as last year, as much as I could tell. I won my AG, but tying my PR is like kissing my sister.
You sure are running well, Sub!
Thanks, Mike! I'm following a "Running Wizard" marathon training plan. I've tried a few different plans, and this one seems to work for me. I'm also running a lot of hilly courses these days, mostly as a result of moving to an area that forces me to run hills pretty much every day.
Thanks, Holly! And a nice 20 miler on Friday
Nice half, Subdood, congrats on winning the AG
Mon 13.4 mi (2:04)
Tue 15.9 mi (2:35)
Wed 15.6 mi (2:25)
Thu 12 mi (2:03)
Fri 0
Sat 14.2 mi (2:16)
Sun 18.6 mi (2:58)
Total: 89.8 miles ( 14 hrs 21 min)
Clearly, all I had to do
to hit 90 for the week was to run
0.2 miles on Friday. Seems doable.
But, well, no. A day off is a day off.
Thanks, Alexander. Your week was close enough to 90 miles, I'd say. Closer than I'll ever come. I've also become a believer in a mandatory day off each week, even when I'm feeling good.
