Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thanks Holly! I'm starting to taper...the Hansons' way...

February is a short month so I have to keep the hammer down to make my monthly mileage.
Too much work and a forgotten headlamp; no trail for me tonight.
13.1 miles
Did a nice quick 8 miles at lunch, and then another 5.1 miles around the cemetery with the company running club.
Too much snow to let the horses out which meant over six hours in the barn and no hours running.
A nice slow slog on the snowmobile trail in the new snow; wanted to do at least 12 but the better part of valor made me turn around at the 5-mile mark. Good thing too, I was beat when I finished.
6.2 miles
Got out of work late and had just enough time to sneak in a quick 10K on the snowmobile trail.
Weekend work project kept me busy from before dawn until my guests arrived for a nice little dinner; no running yet again.
7.2 miles
Soooo many snowmobiles on the trail today made the snow very difficult and the going slow.
70 miles
36.5 miles
In the end, Work, Weather, and Horses kept me off the trail for much of the week; looks like I'm going to need a pass.

I am trying to resolve a pain in my right hip/glute. Lots of stretching, foam rolling, and lower mileage this week should do it.
I may not reach 40 miles this week. We'll see how it goes. Free pass, please!
Just a dude.
Back at it another week. Looking to increase a little bit....
