Marathon Maniac #957

For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run or aspire to run 40 miles/week. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard... Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. Let me know if there are any errors or omissions.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Not sure what I'm doing this week. Feeling a little beat up after Sunday's aborted long run... This tentative schedule is subject to change, but might try for that 20 again this weekend. Then again, I might not.

Hi folks - I'm 42, been running for just over 2 years, but decided to try to run more miles and see how it works out. I don't always have a really well thought out plan, but I've hit 40 miles for the last several weeks and hope to continue. This seems like a good group, and extra encouragement couldn't hurt. Here's this week so far Mon - 5.5 Tues - 12 Wed - 5.8 Thurs - 6 Fri - 6 Sat - 2 Sun - 4.1 warmup & 5k Total = 41.4
