Marathon Maniac #957
I use a mousse and I'll be bringing it.
I don't even think I have any gel or I'd bring some along with me, but if mousse will work for you, you are more than welcome to use mine.

No offense.
Ultima tastes like failure.

K, that frees up one more seat in the divechief taxi
Dave, I'm picking up TimBo. He gets in a little bit before us and will just meet us at baggage claim.
Resting? get a hug!!!

Here is the latest on the weather from Cliff Mass, meteorology professor at the University of Washington. In his blog last night he wrote:
"The bottom line: cloudy and cooler weather beckons for tomorrow [Thursday]. Conditions improve on Friday and Saturday, with the return of sun and normal temps in the low 70s".

Off to a meeting then to Seattle. I will be arriving at the house by 10pm or so.
that duckride Srlopez mentioned sounds like a great fun. Do we need reservations for that? Maybe after the marathon we can all hope in the duck to get a ride...

SRLopez, bring your mouse to the dinner on Friday or Saturday. Will you join us at the house? Did PM you the address for the house. Time for dinner is around 6 on Friday.Dinner on Saturday will be when the boys decide to feed the goddesses.
Hi, looks like I won't be making either of these. Y'all have fun.
As for the ducks, Imust have forgotten totally mentioning that! Huh. I'm assuming what I said was something like this: the duck gives an interesting perspective of the city, but you have to really be in the mood for the duck. It's a lot of bad jokes and "wackiness" (quotes intentional) by the driver. Can be fun if you are in the mood for it.
peace
Can someone email me the directions to the house??? I can't seem to find the yahoo group emails anymore. Thanks a bunch,

I'd like to meet you all on Saturday night for dinner. When all your enkephalins are flowing freely. Friday night you guys will all be hyper and stuff and I'd rather stay away.
I'll bring my homemade salsa, homemade hummus and maybe some brownies, not entirely homemade.
"During a marathon, I run about two-thirds of the time. That's plenty." - Margaret Davis, 85 Ed Whitlock regarding his 2:54:48 marathon at age 73, "That was a good day. It was never a struggle."

Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to keep trying, and the childlike spirit to have fun along the way - Run often and run long, but never outrun your Joy of running!

TIM TIM TIM - forget everything I said about ilene.
King Forward has her ensconced in the royal suite at the Westin where Princess Diana is said to have stayed too.
Maybe pretend you are checking with Tammy about Laura and don't let on that you know Tammy's dh isn't there
(however, be prudent, he's a biker, . . the real kind, not like you and me).
also listen to what Montana Dave says re stategies for keeping the goddesses warm.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION in case any might say so you can ever so slightly overhear,
"gee, it's kind of cold here, isn't it?"
Good luck, I'm counting on you.
sorry to say this too but, with regard to the running part, if you have to keep your heart rate below 200 or whatever, look at the ground at all times. DO NOT LOOK UP AT ANY BODY AROUND YOU or you'll have to turn around and walk backwards to comensate. also, do not look up backwards either. Check with the Forwards about this.
ps - special bonus of your choice for every hour you finish slower than 3:30. good luck.
pps - I have Mr. Butterfly wings watching your every move.
Do not even think about touching Mrs. Butterfly, . . . unless she touches you first!
never trained / never will
last training run - 2/14/09
YTD - 26.2 miles (1/7/2012)
Is there a race going on somewhere? I was going to wish everyone the best of luck, but I am not sure anymore.....
I think we need pictures, I am having a hard time picturing a mouse in hair gel staying warm.....
I don't know where everyone is but it's only an hour from the 7am start (it is Saturday, isn't it?) and, though I'm 5,000 miles away in the next city in the other direction from Seattle, I'm paid up, it starts at the same time and 42..195km is the same as 26.2 miles so I'm gunna get to run one too, . . . so what if it's already 82 degrees over here at 6am and they call it the Imperial Palace Marathon.
plus, I'll be finishing about ten hours ahead of tim even though we both start at 7am!!!!!!!!
