Seattle R&R...let the planning, dreaming and party begin!!!! (Read 1259 times)

Marathon Maniac #957

    I'm in corral 8.
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

    No offense.

On further investigation, for some folks the issue has involved firefox with certain kinds of ad popup blocking enabled.

I printed mine out just now with firefox too.  So, (shrug).

Yes, they are too hardcore with pickup, and this is a bigger deal for the Saturday races like Seattle and Country Music.  A bit uncool.

      Ultima tastes like failure.

I got it! Had to use Chrome though. I find that very strange. Whatever, I have it now. Corral 7, but boy that 3:50 projected finish time seems pretty ambitious for me now...

nancy - thanks for all you efforts in keeping up with the Seattle RnR doings.

However, for those of us with little internet access, maybe the gist of the other messages being posted somewhere else for some reason could be summarized here by someone.  thanks.

in addition to Tet's above post,  could someone E-mail me the address of the party house?  at some point I think I might have to get Ms and Mr forward there.

              Nancy, I didn't get the e-mail  (usandtoto-2@msn.com).  Thanks.

Sue is in corral 15 and I'm in corral 2.

Thanks, Robert! I was able to print it out using Chrome... gave me an excuse to try that one for the first time!

                  Resting? get a hug!!!

I guess I will be nice and cozy with the folks in corral 14.

See what I mean about how beautifully ignorant I am about how this yahoo group thing works?

Well, I hope everyone received their invite by now. I have sent it like three times to each one of you, even before you beg me for it...sheehhhhhhhh. I should know my limits.

Tammy, I can be the last one in corral 14 and you the first one in your corral....we just got to get a leash that extends that far.

Mari, move up one....we could run together....if my 100K the week before legs will allow me!!!

                          Francesca

Mari - I emailed a link to the group to a few that asked and they got in okay. except I haven't heard from Rasmussens but I know he doesn't always check email during the day. I thnk he's one of those that actually WORKS when he's on the clock instead of goofing around on the Internet . . .

I also received my confirmation email today and it appears that it is fairly easy to move up or back corrals if one wants to - you just have to request it at packet pickup. My friend Laura is in corral 23, because she had no idea what to estimate for a finish time and she put 4:45, even though I think, based on her training, she can go sub 4. She is going to move up. I think I'll stay put in 17. I think 4:30 is a realistic time for me and I don't want to be further up because I don't want to get caught up in the beginning running a pace that I'm not sure I can maintain over the 26.

I am in corral 4...I feel like a cow being herded up. Yikes, as I have had good runs....and very very bads one's too. I really don't know which Tim will show up race day. But, will consider it a honor to run "behind" many of our beautiful RA wimmin....(grins) Thanks for the work that goes into this... Tim
