Yowza!! May 11, 2009, Ottawa – Deriba Merga, this year’s Boston Marathon winner, will try to break the 10K world record in Ottawa. He will have stiff competition from Patrick Makau, the second fastest half-marathoner in history. He was 1 second behind when Deriba tied the 15K world record. If someone breaks the record they are going to get 100K. Man or woman Lots of other great competition. It will be great to be in the stands for this one the night before my marathon. Wowzer.. Tall
