Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

I'm in again, though this week it might be a little closer. I have kind of a grudge match 5k on Saturday...
Back in September I was 281 pounds. A guy at a rival back in high school was feeling fat and out of shape at 200 lbs. He has recently married and was expecting a kid. So he wanted to kinda get in shape and challenged me to do it together. This is the weekend he comes to town. I think I shocked him by losing over 80 lbs and running over 700 miles since then. He lost about 10, but he lives in Alaska. He didn't train as much as he probably thought he would. He had such a huge head start in fitness that I doubt if I've caught him yet, but we shall see Saturday...
Anyway, thanks!!!

Thanks Holly! I'm finally getting my plan back on track this week. Although, Thursday, might be tough to get my run in...I have to go to a wake for a 23 year old kid.
