I did almost a multi tasking run tonight . Left work at 3 and came home to get Midnight, our 18 year old cat who has lost half his body weight this summer and seems to have an eye infection. Off to the vet. They wanted to do blood tests and a sub-cutaneous fluids dose, come back in an hour. So DH and I go to his office and I take off for the vet's on foot, with a side trip for a couple more miles. Met DH at the vet and got the news: he's basically ok for an 18 year old cat, but anemic and they want to do a thyroid test (need to send sample to Anchorage). Gave him antibiotics, ointment for his eyes, a de wormer because he's an outside cat who eats mice, and an appetite stimulant. So, $491 later, I still have a skinny cat with runny eyes, but special food and a syringe to manually feed him. We'll see how it goes. I also waited out a big thunderstorm while at the vet's! Then ran 3+ miles back to DH's office where we ordered a pizza and headed home. 9.4 miles for the day and a $491 vet bill. Good thing we kind of set a $500 ceiling before we went!

      Love them Famous Aamos.

Jay - she made the team!

      This is no surprise.

Love how you're taking care of Midnight, Erika.

Even though I'm not a miles junkie, I very much enjoy this little group here.  The Fit Bit the kids got me indicates that I put in 8 miles at work. Then 3 1/2 behind the mower. Maybe I'm not getting lazy in my old age.

I hope DW gets home soon. Tag and I found pizza crust between the couch cushions and called it dinner.
