Marathon Maniac #957
When is your marathon again?
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Once a runner . . .

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out to Tim yet that he misspelled "Thurs" in the thread title!
Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to keep trying, and the childlike spirit to have fun along the way - Run often and run long, but never outrun your Joy of running!
Trails are hard!
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.

My next marathon is April 5, just a small local marathon, the ORRRC marathon in Xenia - 25 minutes away, and only a $20 early bird entry fee. But my real target marathon won't be until October, the Columbus Marathon, if all goes well and I don't hurt myself over the summer. My one and only BQ marathon was nearly a year of build-up in the making, and that's my 2009 plan, to try to work my way up to that again.

Interesting to see Tim's new BQMP mile repeat workout with the two minute recoveries.
"Some are the strong, silent type. You can't put your finger on exactly what it is they bring to the table until you run without them and then you realize that their steadiness fills a hole that leaks energy in their absence." - Kristin Armstrong
SRL, speaking of confused, last week I called you SLR, thus converting you to a type of camera. I am at Otmeaier airport waiting for flight to DFW. Interesting to see Tim's new BQMP mile repeat workout with the two minute recoveries. Back at it tomorrow, enough slacking for me. Spareribs
