Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Easy while at XC Meet
My girls team finished 2nd in a tie breaker but was only 3 points from first. Beat some quality teams in the process.
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Thanks Holly! Here's the plan for the week...
Hey Dennis--how did you do with the pacing? Were you right on?
The official distance for the 6hr run
turned out to be 35.2 miles, so
not as bad as I thought. On a small
loop course Garmin tends to cut corners,
so it makes sense it comes up short

Wed 11.7 mi (1:56)
Thu 13.3 mi (2:06)

Sat 23.1 mi (3:22)
Sun 11.8 mi (2:08)
Total: 71 miles (11 hrs 34 min)
Finally managed to do a real
long run this week.
Not a race, not a group run, just
a solo training effort.
