WARNING - my first running whine dear ilene, Please delete me from the Green Lake 100K Dizzy Daze You are the one who needs all the hugs you can get to get you back on the run again, but I got sad too for the first time in my running life when I found out today that what appeared to be a rare - and first ever - chance to try to run an ultra on a barefoot friendly paved surface all the way around Green Lake has been changed to an outer, mostly rough dirt pathway that my bare soles are not ready for, if ever. It's probably just as well as it's doubtful anyway that I could get in good enough shape in the remaining month-and-a-half to do it anyway, . . . but, . . . uhmm, just sayin' that makes me know that that wouldn't matter either as being at the starting line of a marathon, ultra, mountain run, all-day triathlon, etc. on supposedly inadequate training and bein' nervous and worried about bein' able to do 'em at all by the cutoff time is part of what makes running so much fun. sorry. thanks.
