Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. Nice running!

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
My weeks will look like this for a while as I'm building my base back up and still trying to avoid long runs over 10-12 miles. If today and tomorrow go as planned, I will hit 2000 miles for the year, on Wednesday. I decided not to make it wait until tomorrow. First time ever getting to 2000!!! I'm excited!

Thank you, Holly for doing this weekly thread. I like having the extra incentive to get my miles in, knowing that I get to update my chart each time!

I was thinking about a cutback week, but I feel ok and the calendar is shaping up nicely this week, so I think I'll be postponing that cutback...

I will hit 2000 miles for the year, on Wednesday! First time ever getting to 2000!!! I'm excited!
I hit 2000 last week for the 2nd time ever and I have this thread and the people on this forum to thank for it.
Congratulations on hitting 2000 again! Last year I reached 1888.8, which was my highest. I started the year thinking that I wasn't even going to try for 2000 this year, but then I went into ultra mode for a bunch of months.
Congrats to you and Mike. I joined the club today.
A 2000-mile threesome! Very cool! Congratulations!
I just crossed, and I mean just...2000.2 after my 7 miler tonight.
Woohoo! Congratulations! I just crossed too, 2000.9 after my workout tonight!
Nice Job...40/40 thread will get you there!
I just crossed too, 2000.9 after my workout tonight!
Party at the finish line! Congrats.
