Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week's tally.
KY Derby Marathon!
1st AG in 5k!
Nice streak going on there
Here’s my tentative plan for the week.
Recovery pace, plus 10 min. core
Weights and core
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Time for some serious recovery. The longer you're out running a marathon, the harder it is.
Some easy dog walking & mowed the yard
More easy walking plus upper body weights
Recovery pace plus yoga
Pack Pint fun run, like hashers but more about running than the beer
a.m. yoga; p.m. run, then upper body weights
2 miles easy
@MP (not goal pace) plus yoga-recovery has gone well!
3 miles easy

Race week is here, yikes!
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?
Good luck, OM. Nice to see Byll here!
TM run, plus weights
On TM, including 2.7 M at tempo pace
Recovery pace on TM, plus weight machines
15K trail race cancelled due to 11" of snow
Another week of squeaking in
Thanks Holly! I'll need another pass for this week as I recover from our little run over the weekend. I had put a training plan together a couple weeks ago to get ready for the Tunnel, so I'll put that down, but I won't be following it this week.
Just some push-ups
22:11--too soon to be running! + back extensions + planks and stretches
32:02 + wall sits + stretches
Just some crunches
1:31:22 + wall sits, planks, crunches, and stretches
See? I told you I'd need a pass.
