    Congratulations, Carol!!  Veeeeeery nice, indeed!

Yesterday was suppose to be 20 miles, but I had one of my most spectacular bonks to day.  Quite impressive, really.  It hit around Miles 9-10, and the only reason I got 17.25 out of it is because I had to get back to my car.  I think I went into the run dehydrated.  My Mountain Mix Mojo bars made me so sick to my stomach, at one point I had to sit down on the side of the trail for about 5 minutes because I thought I was gonna up chuck.  I also realized I didn't have enough fluids to get me through 20 miles.  At that point I decided enough was enough and I just needed to get out of there.  Alas, I had to get back to my car, but thankfully 2 of the last 5 miles were all downhill.  The last 3 miles a tad slow, to say the least.  When I got home, Shorty was doing yard work.  I got out of the car announced that I needed a chocolate shake, and he stopped what he was doing drove me to Fresh Freeze.  What a guy!

Anyway, I'm having to relearn some things and definitely need to pay closer attention to hydration throughout the week.

Today's 9 were better than I anticipated, considering how bad yesterday went.  I did get a chance to finally download all my stuff to Garmin Connect and see that I had a total elevation gain of 3,889 yesterday, so I feel a bit better.  My pace, however, looks like a bad EKG.  Considering how I felt, that's fairly appropriate. ps I would consider it an honor to be "Chicked" by any of our fine women runners in this group!

Me, too.  I very quickly realized that the vast majority of of folks, men or women, here are either faster or longer than me.  Usually both.  So that hasn't bothered me for a long time.

Next?  Could there be 26.2 somewhere???

      I can dream, can't I?
