Tramps,  just curious, what was your qualifying time?  Your just a few numbers ahead of where I was in 2006, with a 3:30:08,  wondering how much faster the field has gotten.

      Thanks.

      Dave

       3:25:40 for me.

hey, KS, a good friend of mine from HS has a bib # of 2466 I think. Does that mean that you and him would be in the same corral or wave?

            Tammy

Yes Tammy - both in same corral.  I'm going to push to the front as much as possible.  Smile

Your friend must have run a sub 3 in qualifying!!

yes, I think he did KS, like a 2:56 or something like that. He's run Boston the last several years. You may remember me mentioning him before over on KR - he ran last years Boston in 2:59 (or right around there?) and he was taking chemo at that time also. If he didn't have to take the drugs that he does to keep his cancer at bay, it'd probably be even more amazing the times he could be capable of. He routinely puts in around 80-100 mpw.

                Tammy

Now that you've reminded me Tammy; I do remember you mentioning him and his cancer battle.  Very inspiring.

Furtunate One!  Maybe you can join Kimmie and I to share a few miles.

That sounds fun.  This year, let's do a better job arranging a meeting place.

In 2009, 25388 finished in 4:47:37. It was a 43-year-old German guy. I now have a rabbit to chase.

Set the gear shift for the high gear of your soul,
You've got to run like an antelope out of control

                        Hudson

Interesting way to look at the Boston Marathon George. I looked up bib #8941's 2009 results-----53 year-old male from Bethesda, MD and ran a 3:56. Hmmm? Maybe need another rabbit.

Adding a few more Bib Numbers.  This is getting to be a nice big list!

                              Great list!

George, I saw folks on the main forum doing the bib look-up from last year and I checked mine.

It was a 49-year-old guy (I'm 47) who beat my marathon PR…by 9 seconds!  Spooky!

I was curious about his pacing so I ran the numbers: He was a metronome! Here are his split paces:

Hmmm, #16394 last year was a 52 year old woman from New Jersey who ran a 3:37:16! Yikes, that's over a minute faster than my PR time from 2008. I think I'll just let that rabbit go. I feel sorry for whoever has my number from last year. Hope it's not jinxed.
