Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard... quarry
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. I didn't end up running much at all on our weekend away, but did a lot of hiking.
How was Wisconsin Dells?
Work travel but still got the runs in
Wow, highest mileage week in two years!
3rd AG in hilly 5k!
1st AG in HM!
Vacation, lots of hiking but little running
Here’s my tentative plan for the week.
Weights and core
Easy pace, with striders
3 miles at tempo or 5K pace (8:26)
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Up bright and early after your weekend away! Thanks for getting to this.
Thanks Holly! Glad you had a nice little vacation! Here's the plan for the week.
50:55 + squats, crunches, and stretches
1:32:59 + squats, crunches, and stretches
1:34:52 + squats, crunches, and stretches
1:16:19 + squats, crunches, and stretches
2:53:00 + squats, crunches, and stretches
Mon 2mi (16:38) on treadmill then 7.8mi (0:59) outside
Tue 9 mi (1:13) treadmill
Wed 12.9 mi (1:48)
Thu 12.9 mi (1:51)
Fri 7.8 mi (1:03)
Sat 9.7 mi (1:19)
Sun 11.7 mi (1:40)
Total: 73 miles ( 10 hrs 10 min)
I totaled 50.7 miles this week, including what I thought was going to be my last LR before a mid-July marathon. But my running buddy, who is just getting his legs back after Comrades, mentioned that he might go long next weekend. I already feel a little peer pressure to go along.
46 miles this week. That was 1 mile better then last week.
