Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally.

Senior Games!
Here is my tentative plan this week. I will need a free pass. My family is taking a trip to West Virginia, and I am taking the opportunity to rest a sore knee, so while I will be walking a bit, I will do very little running.

Oh well
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Had to adjust my Long Run Plan due to an opportunity to go trail running with DH next Saturday. Hoping a Tempo Run the night before will combine with a strenuous trail run to approximate a 20-miler. I've heard if you run the miles within the same 24 hours that your body doesn't know you didn't run them all at once, at least in terms of building endurance. Anyone else heard/read that?

Don't make excuses for why you can't get it done.
Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.

Thank you Holly. Dr called me late today and told me that a tear did show up on MRI. I heard the words tear and 50% and nothing else. He told me what was torn but I was just freaking stunned. He said no running for 6 weeks minimum, which just cant happen. I dont know.
