I guess not running that much justifies all the money it costs nowadays to do it, especially when my schedule didn’t mesh with early registration for the Lake Meridian Triathlon ($100.00 + $7.00 Active Registration fee) and the Portland Marathon ($140  + $7.00 registration fee) vs $40 for the Labor Day Half at the Seattle Marathon Expo last November.  whew.
                .
Remember the Boomer Reunion at the 2006 Portland Marathon and how my attempt to keep up to you fizzling after about two miles?  I haven’t run as fast in 100 marathons ever since (4:30:05) so never thought I’d be going back.  However, with my eight-hour friend coming over with my Japan 100-Marathon Joyful Running Club for their overseas marathon this year, I’ll have plenty of company this time.
