80.1 for me ......ending with a depressing bout of acute peroneal tendonitis
thanks Carolyn!!

Thanks Carolyn-beautiful photo as usual.
Sorry Deez, I know how you feel.
Henrun:57.7 (YTD-757.2)-struggling with ITB (but feel I'm on the road to recovery now)-PW for 10K on 8/18
Marj: 76 (YTD-722) Cycling-193(YTD-941). Marj deserves a medal for running with me during my disastrous 10K, coming in last (1 second behind me)-yet winning her AG-1/1.
Trails are hard!
That's modest elevation change compared to some of your runs. Of course, starting at 7000' adds to the challenge JUST a little.
It's depressing to get in here late--drop off again this month--only 46 miles that I can blame only partially on excessive travel.
I nominate Carolyn for most rapid embracing of marathon Maniac Status.--Can't seem to stop her from doing them these days. Enjoy tomorrow's!!
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
Thanks for that great quote, wildchild.
I haven't entered any monthly totals this year, so this is a first for me, and the most miles I've ever run in a month. I only had 103 miles total through the end of June!
August = 71.41
YTD = 220.35

Now that you're an MM, be sure to have 26.2 miles of fun too.
.
truly amazing quote, for sure. Where'd it come from.
Somehow, I can't imagine CSLewis running.
Too much was swirling around to do any running in August but, since it was still Friday, August 31 over here for the first 24 miles of Saturday's 190th Imperial Palace Marathon in Tokyo, maybe they can be slipped into August. If not, put me down for zero again but since zero is no running at all, please don’t include it in calculating the averages, minimalists, etc. and just let me take up space using the your convenient monthly miles as my running log. Thanks.

August - 173 miles. * And 25 hours of ice skating.
YTD - 1179 miles.
17,348 miles since I began my second running life.
Philippians 4:13.
77.7 miles running in August.
I have no idea how many miles I have for the year. I just know it's not many - easily the least I've ever run.

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
Thanks carolyn for counting in the August tally the first 24 miles of my September 1st marathon in Japan when it was still August over here. Much appreciated. I'll be more than making up for it this month with a half mary already in the books and the fall edition of the Light-at-the-end-of-the-Tunnel Marathon looking like it will work out on 9/16. Unlike the last two goddess-assisted times there, I'm starting to wonder how I'll fare on my own.

ps - congratulations on such a huge marathon PR.
I've never heard of anything like it.
ps - congratulations on such a huge marathon PR. I've never heard of anything like it.
But Tet, you were the one telling me how tough the WY marathon was, and how tough it would be as my first marathon! You'd think I'd be guaranteed a big PR when I finally ran an easy one! (My 2nd marathon was even harder/slower than WY, but I finally did an easy one!) My next 3 are all hard too, so the PR from Monday will stand for a while!
sorry, I forgot to tell you there are no easy marathons.
you're really something.
Yeah, but if you ever came down to sea level, you'd be giddy with all the oxygen.
