    Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

       Suffering from a moderate bout of achillie tendonitis (Acute from Volleyball night on 9/8) - So mileage will be down again this week.  It usually takes 4-6 weeks of no speed, soft surface running and treating achillies before it goes away.  Timing is horrible - But when is it ever good?

      Skipped the road section at start of race and ended up with 4:10 for the 25.  @ 1 hour of night running on a pretty technical section

      6 hour race on dirt - Family event - DD#1(11) DD#2(7) wife and I hope to get 100k total between all of us - Family made 72.8 miles

            DoppleBock--I've been dealing with Achilles issues for about 15 years, now--it sucks!  And I've never run over 100 miles in a week...you're amazing.  Good luck, man!

              41 miles this week. Instead of my typical nightly jog, I tossed in a some faster miles on a TM.

               

              And I seen your post on FB about your marathon. Great job & Congrats on what looked to be a challenging elevation profile.

                Goose Bumps 6 hour race - Goose Island in Stoddard WI (La Crosse Area) - A race to raise awareness about Lupus.

                  Thanks - I usually only get once every couple of years - Not chronic, but because of something silly I do (Like a runner playing intense Volleyball for 2 hours).  Since it is acute, I usually can get to a fully receovered state in 6 weeks while I run slow on soft surfaces.  I hope that is the case this time.
