Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
I am starting taper for a goal race this week - Plan is for 90-105 miles - 2 Speed workouts and 1 hill grinder (Run up and down a hill ... repeat - Moderately) I should also hit > 20 miles of walking this week ~ It keeps me from eating ...

Hey--sorry I'm late! I will need another pass, though, this week. Hoepfully, I'll be back at it next week.

SCHEDULE 2016--
The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff

No problem, Mike and Runnerclay - we all need some free passes occasionally.
Minocqua WI - @ 3 hours from our house - This is a really nice / but touristy chain of lakes area. Hotel right accross from a city park (Tennis courts, playground, beach, sand volleyball) and near all the downtown resturants, shops and bars. Within 1/3 mile of a nice 19 mile long gravel rail trail (That goes by lakes and is always under a conopy of trees) We boat, tube and wakeboard - Kind of a last hurrah with the kids starting school 8/27.

Sounds like a great time - has a little of everything. Due to our kitchen re-hab this summer, we didn't get away with the kids - I feel kind of bad about that.
