    Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

      Thanks, Jay, for providing this perspective on the race. I have always said if I couldn't run, I'd like to help out cuz then you get to see the front runners (something I don't ever see). I like your description of the different running styles you see in a race. It amazes me how fast some runners can go with their awkward gaits or bad mechanics.
