Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Holly, I'm running the St. George Marathon on Oct. 4th. I was disappointed to discover it's a long drive from here in Las Cruces, only 5 hours less than from OKC, because I'm so far south.

I keep icing my right achilles, and
hoping it would improve, somehow.
Also, my left achilles is red, itchy and swollen, but not because of running. Well,it is still sort of related to running. I was stung by a beeor a wasp at mile two of my Tuesday run.

47 for the week, which is taper. Did some reps at 10k effort on Wed and jumped into my own little 5k XC race on Saturday, which I did as a progression, 6:09, 6:04, and 5:38 to finish in 18:25. Trail 12 on Sunday, reflective and pondering the move. Complicated.
