Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thank you, Holly! Great job on yet another dam 50K.
I am trying to snap out of my funk, which was induced by the marathon cancellation last week. Able to sneak in just over 40 miles this week.
Long Run with 4 x 100m strides at end
Question for the group -- would you wear an otherwise "nice" jacket that says "Marathon Finisher" if said marathon was cancelled? They mailed me the jacket AND the finisher's medal. I like the jacket -- the medal seems pointless.

Good question. I don't think I would...just because I'm stubborn...and my rule is, if you don't do the race you don't wear the shirt...or jacket in this case. BUT...this is a different situation. You were there--you trained and wanted to do the race and they wouldn't let you. Like I said, i wouldn't...but if I see people wearing this year's Minneapolis Marathon jackets around town...I won't be bothered by it.
Hey! I ran 7 fun miles, today!! So...yeah...I need another pass...
63 (7 workouts) for the week plus two weight sessions

But I used to wear the bib on my back in some other races, not sure why, just as a reminder to myself. I hate when they cancel races Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 10. 2 miles (1:35, 1:31, 1:34, 1:21) Sat 14.1 miles ( 2:08) Sun 18.6 miles (2:47) Total: 73 miles ( 10 hrs 56 min) skipped Tuesday again
