I hope 2012 got off to a good start for everyone - and even if it didn't, I hope the rest of the year keeps getting better!
Time once again to post your monthly mileage, no matter how big or small, and any PRs or other memorable running moments.
Wishing you all miles of smiles.
Here's a picture from Costa Rica to warm you up:
I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
I can run again!!
Thanks Carolyn.....what a beautiful picture!!
92 miles for January. I'll take it ......

Ah, one of my favorite threads!
I had a very nice start to 2012 with a 5k PR and my very first marathon. The monthly mileage of 117.9 was a bit low, but I guess marathon recovery will do that to you.
Thanks again Carolyn!
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?
Mmm-blue moon ice cream!
On my way back from my back A good solid 7.5 mile run this morning to finish out the month. Everthing felt pretty good. 123.5 miles for January plus way more miles on the eliptical and bike than I want to think about.
Great picture Carolyn, keep 'em coming!
Thanks again for keeping tally.
Had a PR on the January first for a 5k...not really sure though since only started tracking PR's, pace, time, or races the last 3 yrs...and been running since college. Does anyone remember running in the '70's? Did they have PR's back then in the Jim Fixx era? Kidding all, though I did try to look up a race I ran from 1980's on-line once.
Have a great February all.

"In running, it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are relative to anyone else. You set your own pace and you measure your own progress. You can't lose this race because you're not running against anyone else. You're only running against yourself, and as long as you are running, you are winning." Now that's a January Thaw!
Thanks Carolyn!

Hmmm what is 2012 YTD?
only PR was breaking 4000 miles of running everyday and injury free.
As always, thanks for this thread, wild.

Yeah--January was a pretty good month for me...running wise, at least. Between the weather and having a lot of time to run has really helped.
January: 206.8
PRs: Well--both of my races in January--a 5K and a 10K--were both "over 50" PRs. I never thought I'd resort to that, but it actually really does feel good.
Okay--that's January--on to February!
Thanks Wild!
Nice pic!
141.4 miles for me. First triple digits since March 2011. Five months ago I had 4.3 miles.

My mind is going
131.6 (Probably the highest monthly total ever for me.)
I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.
175 miles for me this month. PR in a 5 mile race.
I went through my log, and counted 20 of 26 days running in shorts/skirt! Granted, 10 of those were on vacation, but 10 were here in Colorado - love this global warming!
Ran 149.1 miles
Biked 26h 35m
Walked 40.0 miles
No races. Injured.

87.2 miles in January. Highest monthly mileage since last March. Most of the months since then and now were at about half this, so I am well pleased. Trying to ramp up slowly and aches and pains have made me "the foot and leg whisperer".
