    Mornin' everyone.

Especially over the past few days, I have been reminded about how strong, sensitive, smart, and especially caring all the women/goddesses on this forum are. I am very fortunate to have a small connection with you fellow travelers.

Steve P, you are far more 'educated' than you may know, and in ways that many others will never be. Keep up the great work, on and off the job.

Good runs/hikes/walks yesterday, TW, RCG, Slo, Leslie, Enke, Dave, Aamo, Deeze (Happy Birthday!!), Tselbes, and Mariposai. Sounds like a good time on the links with DD yesterday, Holly. Good luck and have a good time at the conference - wise move to stay over and have some chill time.

You sure are a good critter catcher, TC. But, according to Steve, you need to take them far, far away so they don't come back to start the catch-and-relocate process all over again.

No workout for me this morning. For some reason, I'm feeling achy this week, and would like to lose that feeling. So I thought that staying in for some thorough stretching and foam-rollering would help. So far, so good.

    Have a greta Thursday!

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.

      Trails are hard!

        Morning, all.

5K for me around the lake.  Tried to push the whole way.  The preliminary winds of later today's high wind warnings weren't too shabby, so a major headwind on one side and a nice tailwind on the other.  45° was very pleasant.  Ended up at just of 9 min/mile.

Supposed to be 70° later today and snow  predicated for Sunday.  Love NE weather!

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

I couldn't make myself get out of bed for a run before work this morning so it is an non-running day at the office.  If I sign-up for the corporate cup I get 6 free months at the YMCA, so I may do that. That would give a place to workout here in Charleston when I come into the office.  If there was a 5K run I would have signed up without the extra incentive, but all they have is a 5k walk. Sounds boring (no offense to Jay who could probably walk a 5k faster than I could run one now) but if that is still in need of people I will sign up.

            Hiya!

You're killin' my cats with those photos, twocat.  They have to make do with the anodes on the patio and would love to meet your guests.

Hope your two find each other.

            Yeah, 4 hours, tomwhite!

            Happy belated birthday deez.

Today would have been my brother's b-day.  Same as Gordie Howe, which still has some meaning in Detroit.

Sounds like a good way to play golf, Holly.  Now THERE's a game I'd relay in--took lessons and was doing greta (the driving lessons) until we had to putt.  I'm good at hitting a ball with a stick but then they get all geometry-ish and physicsy as to slopes and angles and I'm thinking if I wanted to do brain games I'd have brought my crossword puzzle, let's just hit the ball, ok?

----Enjoy the hotel and supper.   (remember that song from about 10 years ago, "New Shoes" by Paolo Nutini?  It got stuck in my head last night so much I had to play it.  I remember we both liked it.)

Here's the book my friend put together on ultra runners, in case you are looking for a gift for the certain crazy someone....http://www.amazon.com/Running-Extremes-Scott-Ludwig/dp/1782550801         My very token part is the intro on Dean.

Funny, I was feeling a bit sluggish and my back was complaining from sitting all day at the end of work yesterday (need to use the standing desk more), so went for just a quick 3+ miles when I got home and it made all the difference!   Did 8 this am--meaning to cut back, but the humidity was down so wanted to take advantage of it!  Sooner than soon, it'll be drippy weather.

Which reminds me, since moving here, I like to plan a summer marathon as it's nice to have a cooler one to anticipate (not to mention, they just dry up here.)  Even tho I've done it a lot, I'm thinking about San Fran.  Love it and the city.   But then, DH needs to replace his car.

            grins,

Just a short run to get some blood flowing in the legs this morning. I'm fighting some soreness and fatigue. I will do the same tomorrow.

Good Morning All. Ran 4.5 miles after work yesterday and since today IS the last day of the month, I get in some trails miles with the dogs when I get home.

                Have a great Thursday everyone!!

slower than yesterday, almost same route. 3rd day of 6ish miles at 0530ish. Running out of energy. My right foot needs maintenance.

Twocat: I love following the critter saga. And Steve's factoid about how they travel home... I can't wait to see what happens next.

Steve: I am cheering for your work balancing act to shift in your favor. Also, allowing folks to solve their issues usually benefits everyone, right?

Tammy and Erika and Aamos and Leslie and Holly and Jlynne and Steve and everyone else who joined in the relationship and counseling conversation, thanks for sharing. This helps us all to realize that we are not weak if we seek help, in fact we will be stronger if we do.

                  Happy belated Birthday to Deez!

                  Remembering Bruce's birthday, Amy!

On Tuesday, 29 March, my parents would have celebrated 60 years of marriage. But asbestosis and mesothelioma claimed my dad's life about 23 years ago. He was only 56 years old when he died. I credit him with my love of exercise and hospitality. He was an optimistic man ahead of his time, A civil engineer's civil engineer. Anyway, my mom turns 80 this year on 12 May. She misses my dad every day but, she is a testament to the benefits of counseling and medication to treat depression and anxiety.  And she is a good bridge player!

Oh, and Tomwhite, thank you for the tooth brush reminder, Stretch leaves his soaking in listerine. The rocket scientist was due for a new one so he opened a new toothbrush after his bronchitis diagnosis.

                  AND FINALLY!

Heed my cautionary tale. Do not bake a mango bundt cake and glaze it with a glaze made from heating blueberry jello powder, sugar, butter, water, and a half cup of Meyers rum.  It is disgusting and I am going to have to throw it away. Yuck.

"Anytime you see the word "inflation" in the news, replace it with "record-breaking corporate profits" and you'll get what's happening."

Next time drink the rum first.  And then figure out the glazing.

I, too, am on pins and needles re the little critter saga.

Good luck with the possible power outages, TW.

                      Happy Belated Birthday, Deez!!

Holly - I hope you're able to enjoy your "me" time.

I am so inundated with transcription right now, it's ridiculous and it doesn't look to be letting up any time soon.  I think burning the candle at both ends is starting to catch up with  me.  My alarm went off at 5:00, and I promptly fell back to sleep until 7:00.  Geesh.  So much for getting up and getting in a core/ST workout.

My brother, niece, and nephew come up tomorrow so we can finish going through my dad's things, which have been in storage since last June. I'm glad we're finally getting this done, but I know it's going to be hard.  *sigh*

Missed the last couple of days here, but it sounds as if some some good work was done.

I have had critter problems before and per SteveP's warning was told back then to transport them over a mile away. I am not sure their new home is quite 2 miles, but it is close. So now the local Christmas tree farm has three new residents. The trap is back up in case there is are any more friends squatting at my place. One thing though, they do not leave my house hungry! I put a lot of sunflower seeds in the trap each night and by morning they have munched them all down.
