    Marathon Maniac #957

OMG - SEVENTY FIVE AG WINS?!! And ONE HUNDRED MARATHONS?!! You are amazing, Amy - SUPERB!! (darn, my dancing banana file is at home....)

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

      xor

What those times don't tell you is that in many races... pretty much every one that I've been in with Amy... she runs whup ass negative splits too. Usually in some weird rain slicker wind breaker thing. Carrying a bottle.

Happy 104 marathons amazing amy. I think I should be reading this in Guinness Book of World Records. what're some of your favorite marathon memories? somehow mine include your nos. 7, 26, and 38. Smile

Wow! Congratulations on a big milestone. In addition to 75 AG wins, I noticed that you were 2nd or 3rd in AG in almost all your other marathons that you didn't win. Awesome. But I think the term "maniac" fits! Wink

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.

Holly, The only reason Amy wins all those AG races is because she cherry picks her races. She never races a big 5000 person race like San Francisco ... oh wait. She did run that one. Three times in fact and won every one of them. Well, she surely never ran the famous Seattle marathon ... umm, there it is and she won that too. Okay, I got it. She's never won Boston. Haaaa. And she only finishes in the top 4% of those in her AG at Boston. See? I rest my case. Roll eyes Aamos is Aamaazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill

                Speechless -- simply speechless. Wow.

congratulations Amy - you have always amazed me and I've always known what an accomplished and talented runner you are, but somehow seeing all your races collectively like this, just leads me absolutely speechless.

Divechief....THANK-YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS. I wonder if Amy is blushing just yet. It is beyond amazing to me. AMY - wow, I feel so lucky to "know" you. When did you start running? Are you just superhuman or something? Breger is so funny...awesome running woman!!

FABULOUS Amy! You say you are just my running chum and not my idol.....HA!!!!! If only John Stifler of the Hampshire Gazette took women seriously. Don't need no stinkin' affirmation from a doofus anyway. You are amazing and just such a super person in addition to being a gifted and joyful runner. Raise the roof---Aamos has hit 100 marathons!
