Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
I need a pass this week.
You deserve a pass this week. I can't wait to see how you do at Boston!
Tramps gets a pass? What is there some sort of special race soon?
Taper well - you've put in the work for a solid race.
Mon - 6.6
Tue - 7
Wed - 6.7
Thu - 7.5
Fri - 6.3
"He conquers who endures" - Persius "Every workout should have a purpose. Every purpose should link back to achieving a training objective." - Spaniel
I need a pass too. I'm coming up to Boston to see Tramps run!
Actually, I'm still sick. Thought I'd be better by now, but nope, still coughing and have no energy. Oh and I *am* going up to Boston too, but that has nothing to do with anything.
Blah... no running of any value this week, and no Boston road trip either. Planning on a clean slate for next week.
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?
Another tough training week planned, for my upcoming 5k, not the marathon since I'm a 4:45 pacer. Been there, Surf City, got the shirt.
Slow recovery run

0.25 mi. intervals with warm up & cool down
Yoga + 5 miles easy
yoga good as usual
12 miles easy with the club

No run--switching it up a little--24 minutes of weights + planks and stretches
10x800 w/400 @ 3:00 between--3:02-2:57-2:56-2:56-2:57-2:57-2:57-2:57-2:59-2:59
+ 50 pushups + planks and stretches
Did the speed work, yesterday, so I slacked off, today. Just did my 20 back extension...thanks to the reminder from Holly.
Good luck, Tramps. You could be back with us next week, right? The weather looks great for a good day.
