Doctor appointment today did not go all that well. X-Rays showed signs of stress fracture(s). I am having a bone scan Friday. Looks like you won't be seeing me here until sometime after the new year. This will pass. Sigh. MTA: Thanks to those passing along well wishes. I'm OK, and I will be back.

          Not at it at all.

Depending on what type it is you might be able to handle the eliptical. Top marathoner Ray"rbmoose" who posts on these threads has had many stress fractures and has always come back strong after a couple months on the eliptical. Good luck.

Thanks Jim. I was told swimming or biking (as long as I stay seated) for the time being. There's a gym nearby that I can get in month to month so I can cycle there. I see the doctor Monday to follow up on the bone scan and I do plan on asking about doing the elliptical.

Hi Everyone! Crazy week like always-go figure since I don't even have a full time job. I did manage to get 40 miles last week just no time to post it and the goal this week is 40 miles. So far....Monday-0; Tuesday-10.5; Wednesday-6; Thursday-2 (40 min on a spin bike though); Friday-6; Saturday-12; Sunday-6; Total 42.5 Bummer about so many injured but I guess it's that time of year in that we've all been training hard all year that some injuries are bound to show up. So heal and strengthen those weaknesses to perform even better next year! Kelly
