Good morning. Where is everyone. ...
DS did get picked up, at about 5:20, so I put on my reflector vest and headed out. Calm and pretty mild, warmer than expected at around 30. I got in 16, about half in the dark and I was at least half asleep but I did it. takes the pressure off the weekend schedule. I felt like sleeping most of the way; I don't know how you O' Dark people do it every day. Does feel good to arrive at work with 16 done though.
Tet, the race with the spin out was actually a GS, a rather turny one. DS' coaches have been working with the kids on accelarating out of their turns, and mostly it is working, but he is still getting used to carrying that much speed around a gate, so has to adjust. His coach calls him "master carver," so usually the mroe technical courses are good for him.
Happy Thursday everyone...
Really. I bet everyone is out running. Not yet for me.
Lots of rain here today. I seems our state is wanting to be like NW Washington with all this rain instead snow. Strange.
Haven't posted much due to work. I have lots of daily's to catch up.
Cheers.

5.5 sluggish miles for me this morning. I am super tired.
Reason I haven't checked in is because I was in Boston on business, so no time to visit here. We had an oustanding time Tuesday night and I have some pics, as does Robin. I just got home last night late, and I have a ton of work to do. I'll be back later and see if I can find a good picture to share. Thanks all. Spareribs
good morning! I'm not out running. sitting at my desk, drinking my coffee, waking up.
rest day for me today. will do my pt exercises/stretches tonight though.
looking forward to a pic or two and some stories from Ribs.

I ran earlier - 6 easy miles in really super nice weather. It's sunny and warm again here - shorts weather. Lots of folks out playing tennis when I ran by the public tennis courts. We are having a super mild winter. I think we have broken out the winter coats and hats maybe twice so far. Into the 60s here today and tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing Ribs' pictures and hearing about the get together!
Once a runner . . .
Sweet 16! Nice way to start the day, lamerunner!
Carolyn—ouch. I’d have a few choice words after a fall like that, too.
Shouldn’t Ribs be fining Leslie for avatar terrorism? They just keep getting scarier.
I’m with MS on the need for a Boston story. It’s been too long.
Easy 11.9 for me today. Nice and sunny today before the rain moves back in.
Isn't Leslie's avatar King Julian? I love him!
the More the Merrier!
Looking forward to Spareribs' pictures... but not Leslie's...
No run today, since my intermittent achilles issue has flared up again. Also, I've been really worn out lately. Seems the past couple weeks' excitement has finally caught up with me... perhaps even the past year's as well...
Have a good day, all!
who says life doesn't have a soundtrack?

Thanks. You'll need to post some pictures sometime. It's so different nowadays.
However, in those days too, we embraced Buddy Werner's motto: "go in fast / come out faster."
Lots of spinouts and crashes but made for strong quads and great times if we could hang on.
.
No particular reason but I think we're due for some tammy pictures too.
Though Leslie's avatar is an improvement , . . . maybe change the subject line.
Hi Tet. How ya doin?
no wonder I don't like winters anymore.
I'm among those who are anxious to hear about the dinner with the RA people and ribs. Pictures would be a bonus.
Nice long runs for Mike, deez, jimmy, breger, Tramps, and lame. Good job on the speedwork for lame and fatozzig.
This morning, it was in the high 20s and there was a little wind. I got in 12 miles in a bit over 2:11:30 for a 10:58 pace.
A while back, I mentioned getting an ipad for Christmas. My kids gave me a gift card for $25 to download itunes. I don't expect to listen to many songs, but figured I should spend the money so I could tell the kids I'd used their gift. I did a trip down memory lane: a Kingston Trio album and a few songs from CCR, Simon & Garfunkle, The Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, and Marty Robbins. While I was listening to some of them, my wife suggested I might want to buy some earbuds. I think she was making a subtle comment about what she thought of my selections. I suspect that most of you youngsters don't even know the singers and groups I mentioned.
A good day and good runs for all.

Tet, I was just looking at some photos another parent took ( he is kind of team photographer), and DS did a complete 360 between gates during the first run. He did well to stay upright! I could not see all that from where I was standing..
i will post some pics if I ever figure out how to download and retrieve....
We used to call 'em "butterflies" when we did 'em on purpose on the ground and "360's" airborne.
you're reminding of the "good old days" too much.
Tselbs too.
Tammy too (although that wasn't the photo I was thinking of)

Ha! Kingston Trio and Beach Boys are not my cup of tea but I have lots of CCR, Paul Simon (and a little S&G), and Johnny Cash in regular rotation on my running ipod. Good music is timeless. Or maybe I'm not a youngster.
