There are about 20 spots open on this FREE event.  The RD is super nice guy and working hard to clear some damage on the trails from recent  storms.  But you must register so they know who might show up.

        I cannot be there Cry

          What an a awesome run!!

Rik said it was a mix between Mountain Massochist (fire & Jeep roads up a mountain) and Hyner (Lots of elevaIsis and rocks).

The RD said 5000ft of elevation for the whole thing but we found it to be about that for the first 22 mile loop and over 7000ft for the whole 50k.

They are thinking of trying to put together something rover the winter months too except not as difficult because they need to be able to access the trail by emergency vehicles.

Glad you had a good time.  I had heard from various people how tough it was, people getting lost (or at least having a tough time finding the right way to go).  Many people stopped after 21 miles i think I heard.  I was supposed to go out and run with Don this coming Saturday but we put it off til later in the fall.  I hope they do something in the winter.  That would be great.
