Deleting Posts At this point in time, posts can't be deleted. They can be modified. Just click on MODIFY, and you can change the title (if you started the thread) and body of your post to let people know that the post is no longer relevant.
E.G. You were looking for a ride to a race and you got one, just write "DELETED" or "XXXXXXX" in the title. Or something that says don't bother reading this post, mission accomplished.
You can always just let the post stay as is and let it ride off on to page 2 and beyond.
Use the MODIFY option to change your post anytime.
.html Tag Buttons On the REPLY and MODIFY pages, you'll see there are some .html buttons which give you tags like bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough.
LINKS Click The liink button (2nd from right) and it gives you this: < A >< /A> (I modified these a bit so you can read this). Just place a URL between the brackets:
< A >http://www.rirr.org< /A>
and you'll get this
http://www.rirr.org
Now readers can just click on your link.
IMAGES Use the image button and you'll get these tags: < img>< /img>
place a URL to an image, phooto, etc. between the tags: < img>http://www.rirr.org/images/misc/logo2.jpg< /img>
and you'll get this:

EMOTICONS use the smiley faces (emoticons) to clarify your inner emotional states of mind, bent of your post, or as an artistic statement.

Modifying Profile & Avatar (that little square picture in my post)
Click on OPTIONS in top right hand corner of the forum page. Right near HELP. You will see the choices for all sorts of preferences. Explore. and choose.
Profiles
If you are going to be posting on the bulletin board, please consider creating and opening up a profile with your name. That way way we have a clue who you are. If you look above my Eggheads avatar (picture), you'll see a blue JimmyB link. Click on that. That's a Profile.
Instructions on making yours:
Just look in the upper right hand corner and you'll see OPTIONS / Help.
Click on OPTIONS.
Then click on PROFILES.
Put at least your name. A photo is good as well. Will help in face recognition at races, etc.
Check "Allow the world to see my profile and stats"
Email addresses are kept private on the board unless you give them out.
The running log is also a good tool. I keep my own log and profile (I've been a running forum junkie for years and find both a profile and log to be helpful in many of my communications) and have a link in the footers of my posts. If you wish to do this, go to FORUM PREFERENCES under the same Options link. Put your links under SIGNATURE.
Enjoy!
