Comrades Marathon RR (Read 56 times)

Occasional Runner

Here's my report for Comrades. This is a pretty special race and I really enjoy running in South Africa. After a brutal 20k section late in the race, I managed to recover and finish feeling great. Thanks for checking it out.

Congrats! Gorgeous photos. I really like the idea of the water "sachets" too.

        Are we there, yet?

Amazing! I've known of Comrades for years but knew little about it. Your pictures and description seem to capture a good sense of what it's like.

Way to go Kelly.  Nice job getting thru the bad patch. The direct sun must be tough (not to mention the 56 miles on the road).

I use my iPhone for almost all my pictures. It's hard to beat for portability and photo quality.

Thanks for the RR...that's a great lesson in getting yourself out of a tough spot...I will be saving that one in the memory bank.  Congrats on another successful race.  The video of the National Anthem was really cool too, not something I would ever get to experience without vicariously living through you.

Thanks! You never know where running might take you someday. I know I never expected to run in Africa.
