Wow.  I don't think I ever had that many on me at one time, but your post reminded me of a day hike where my daughter and I each had an uncounted number (at least several dozen each) on us and our dog had a number in excess of 200 when we lost count.

Ticks are a problem here and I have had Lyme disease twice.  That same dog also was diagnosed with it as well.  We lost her to kidney failure that may or may not have been related.  I have lingering issues these years later that I blame on Lyme disease.
