FWIW...  I was just musing how with my Kahtoola Micro Spikes these icy days are the only days of the year where traction is 100%.

Every time I have to take off the spikes and run on the (then usually partly ice-free) trail again "bare", I am afraid of all the slipping and sliding (which I did not really mind before I ran with the spikes).
