Green and not so green in the PNW (Read 40 times)

Uh oh... now what?

Two runs, two-hundred miles apart, both in the Pacific Northwest; the first was in

Deception Pass State Park, about twenty miles northerly of where we live; the

    wet side of the mountains.

    Cornet Bay area trails.

The second is near Ellensburg, Washington--the dry side of the mountains.

Yakima River canyon (and a mountain or two on the way).

Usual "if the links work" disclaimer.

Great as always. I prefer the first pictures, as I haven't experienced much of that in my life. I've become quite familiar with high deserts and their sagebrush and whatnot.

      Thanks!

Cool photos, thanks for sharing! Hard to imagine so much plant life, much different than I'm used to seeing around here.

But you look like high up, where are you?

Nice pictures! I'd like to experience the second set some. The first looks a lot like Sitka. Except, what's that blue sky? Pretty!

Very nice photos! I'd like to run in both of those areas. Smile

I spent about 1.5 years living in Pasco WA and working in Walla Walla WA.  The first set of pictures is what I expected when they told me I was going to Washington, the second set of pictures were what I got.  I remember when I first was driving up to the "tri-cities" and a huge dust cloud rolled over the ridge and covered the whole town.

Thanks for sharing the pics...I'll take the green ones please.

New Mexico. Lots of desert around here, but plenty of high alpine Mountains as well. I try to get up high any chance I can get. A little greener up high usually, but nothing like your pictures.

                    Nice pictures John.

There's just something about the second set that makes me want to just hit the trails and keep going to see what's around the next bend and over the next hill.
