I don't know about scolding, but I do like it when people take the time to send

a personal message sort of thing to me about any errors--grammatical, data

reference, chronological, geographical--I am (fantasy world) a mathematical

sort and scribble with no real idea of what the rules are.

My writing, like my running, probably best serves as a horrible example.

I just realized how hypocritical the personal message part is since I

sometimes use the strike-through feature to correct spelling errors on the

forum post.  It is usually done to a word that made the sentence humorous,

but, still, I need to be more sensitive.

Later today I will have jog 3 miles.

Thank you.  I was beginning to think I have been wrong all along about using run instead of ran.   "I run, therefore I am"

My grandma scolded me about using the word "got" too frequently as a child. Now I am stuck on "have". Sorry. Got to run, er, have to run.

FTYC - you're english is excellent...I never would have guessed that you are not a native speaker.

I liked FTYC's comments about non-english speakers.  I spent a month in Mexico mangling the spanish language, but people still understood what I meant most of the time.  I had a teacher tell me "word's are only as important as the message they convey".  Words are our slaves not our masters so I gave up on caring how other people use words...except "Literally".  If you use the word literally incorrectly then you mean figuratively, which is the complete opposite.  I still can't get past that one.
