running under the BigSky
6 miles in the hills, beautiful running weather (low 40's) here, for a couple of days anyways
qotd: like others, I retire them and then they take on other duties- lawn mowing, knock about, etc- no emotional ties yet, but I haven't run a 100 mile event either
“Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.”
I did 3 early morning miles then tonight I did it again in early moonlight. It is kind of a tough go in the snow we have....but I think it makes for a better core work out during my run. I suspect it will seem effortless next spring when I get to run snowless for the first few times.
qotd: Once they are no longer used for running my shoes join the pile. Some I use for knocking about...others just sit there and take up space. Whenever move to another place to live I throwa few out.
