Probably an URD for me ... relapse of bronchitis, and my doc told me I should stay off my Achilles for a month ... don't think I will listen, though
QOTD: Standards for me are the trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains/Woodside: Huddart Park, Wunderlich Park, Phleger Estate. I also try to run in the Headlands/Mt. Tam when I can.
The monuments are nice (and flat). The girlfriend was found in Rock Creek park, deep in a ravine along the Western Ridge Trail. I run that all the time and that section where they found her body is spooky. And I've heard that from others, too.
A dog found her body-- came running back to it's owner with one of her bones. The owner knew enough to recognize that it was no deer bone his pup had found. Can you imagine?
RuntrailDC: I was in DC...which I had know about this trail then. I ran around the monuments. Which park was the park in which the politicians murdered girlfriend was found?
running under the BigSky
URD for me as well, boss went home ill, had to work late- hopefully my Wed run will happen on Thursday
qotd: this is a link to interactive map w/ the Helena area trails, lots and lots of options for distance, elevation, difficulty, etc

Faster Than Your Couch!
Quickly threw in fast 6 miles along the bike path. It was fun, but I was a bit underdressed, so it was rather a cool run instead of a heat run.
But at least it's miles, and at a hard effort!
Run for fun.
QOTD:
I have a few places that I go for longer stuff that are established trail systems:
Clear Springs Mississippi-- Pretty good long runs with decent ups and downs, mostly rolling but some steep stuff.

Clark Creek-- Vertical. I think the guy in the link below must have spent a good bit of time in the creek bottom if he only got 1641 in the 4.7 mile loop. I have a friend who has it gps'd at 2050. Either way, you won't get any more rugged vertical gain anywhere close to here.
