Are we there, yet?
Late post here. Friday I felt really tired so I just ran a few miles on the roads around the neighborhood.
QOTD: With winter approaching and the topic, I was reminded of one of the most peaceful runs I'd ever had. I was running late in the dark in mid-winter. This was on roads, not trails. It had started snowing earlier and there was probably 4-5" on the ground already when I started. Almost no wind so the flakes were drifting gently down and there was an almost eerie calmness and silence as I watched them falling under the illumination of the street lights. There was no traffic because of the snow, so I had the roads to myself. No tire tracks or any other indication of traffic, so I was breaking new ground, just me, the road, and the snow.
