A Snowy Gettysburg Run (Read 31 times)

AT-runner

Tim

I as able to get out for a longer lunch run due to the snow and cancellation at work.  Decided to take the phone along for some pictures. Hope you enjoy.

Looking from Seminary Ridge toward the fields where Pickett's Charge started.

Decided to run up the tower for some extra cardio.

I was the first crazy person to go up today.

Snowy view from tower in the direction of Gettysburg and Little Round Top.

Little Round Top.  All those bumps are large boulders where Union troops took cover and fought off Confederate troops on Day #2.

    “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

              Beautiful!

Sadly I have never been to the battlefields at Gettysburg and I live so close.  I have been waiting for my boys to be old enough to learn and enjoy the history.  I think they are close.

It took me living near Philly over 30 years before I made the trip out there. Three days there wasn't enough so I went back the following year for 4 days.
