Because we can never have enough of these.
Pecan pie (with a little vanilla ice cream on the side) is still the standard by which all other pies will be judged.

My mother makes my great-grandmothers recipe of lemon pie, my favorite. Blueberry is
second favorite, and apple, pumpkin is another favorite, pecan too.

You can keep all the pecan pie for yourself, Birdwell.
I'll take apple every time.
Running is dumb.
Pecan pie--nah, no thanks.
I'm looking forward to my trip to Wyoming in a few weeks and score some huckleberry pie.
+1 for the Pecan pie!!! Not so much for any fruit or berry pies.
The biggest problem with the Pecan pie is it's too fattening.
I'll pass on the pecan pie, thanks. My blueberry-rhubarb pie got eaten before I could take a picture. Fruit pies are the best-- they are both dessert AND breakfast.
I'm with MM, I've have mine Ala Mode. Here's one made by my DW.

Warm apple pie, Sandy?
Well played sir, well played!
Pecan pie is good, but nothing is better than fresh hot apple pie with ice cream slowly melting all over it! (except perhaps fresh strawberry shortcake but that's not technically a pie!)
My aunt actually just brought over some kladdkaka, which is a Swedish thing. It's like a very dense chocolate cake, almost a brownie. It was good. I think I'll try my hand at making some soon.
OMG! I need pie! I'll take a slice of each please! I love pecan...I love berry...lemon...chocolate...I am not fussy.

These were the three pies that my family entered into the pie contest at the company picnic:
Scottish tassie walnut pie, caramel apple pie, Oreo cookie pie
There was a tie between the walnut (made by my DD) and the Oreo cookie (made by my boys) pies
