The circumstances behind the race are both tragic and inspiring. On July 10, 2008, just two weeks after completing the Race Across America (bike race) as a part of an eight-person team, Nancy Sellars was killed by a drunk driver. The people who knew her have organized a 20k trail race in her memory. It is a great distance for someone like me who is not prepared for a 50k but loves to run trails. I just thought I'd pass this one along since it seems like a unique distance. I think the trail is kind of low on the technical difficulty (not rocky or rooty) but contains a lot of short to medium hills.
