20k at Lapham Peak in Wisconsin (Read 112 times)

The circumstances behind the race are both tragic and inspiring. On July 10, 2008, just two weeks after completing the Race Across America (bike race) as a part of an eight-person team, Nancy Sellars was killed by a drunk driver. The people who knew her have organized a 20k trail race in her memory. It is a great distance for someone like me who is not prepared for a 50k but loves to run trails. I just thought I'd pass this one along since it seems like a unique distance. I think the trail is kind of low on the technical difficulty (not rocky or rooty) but contains a lot of short to medium hills. http://www.nancysellars.com/?page_id=56
