I found Hoosier's post asking about places to stay for Miwok. I don't know about camping in the area, but there are some hotels in San Rafael that might be less expensive than staying in, say, Corte Madera, Sausalito, Tiburon, or San Fran. San Rafael is about 15-20 min north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Staying at the Colonial Inn in San Rafael if any other RAers are there.
Arrive mid day Friday and would love to check out the area (start/parking/etc.). Let me know if anyone plans to be there.
Imminent Catastrophe
Fisherman's Wharf Hyatt. That's just the price I have to pay.
BTW just got a email--They'll have a live webcast. Pretty big-time!

Yep - That is the view from the top for sure. Interesting to see how long there was a large pack and more interesting to see that Mackey was down at the 55 mile point.
Yeah, the lead pack blew past, then Elvis not far behind, and we're (slow, outbound guys) like, "WTF?"
HOW'D THE RUN GO????
It was beautiful! Those hills just never stop, the worst was after Pan Toll (mile 48) and Pirates Cove, the downhills were murder, my quads are shredded. 14:12 and I beat the sunset which was my main goal.
MTA: Even splits (within 10 seconds). Yay!
Congratulations!!!! I'm looking forward to a race report.
Nice work Perfesser and HoosierDaddy!
