GAC 6 Hour Trail Run (Read 127 times)

On May 11th Gil's Athletic Club is holding it's annual 6 hour trail run at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield MA. All the proceeds benefit the Cancer Center at Bevelry Hospital. As with all GAC events this is a real fun time and the aid station is stocked with a wide variety of food items served by friendly and encouraging GAC volunteers. This is a good opportunity to get in a long run with company and not having to worry about carrying food and drink. You don't have to run the entire 6 hours, just run as long as you want. The course is a 3 mile loop of easy trails. I did a 24 mile training run here last year and had an awesome time. I have a link to the race on my blog. Dan My Blog

Well it was a great day to be on the trails. Great turnout, perfect weather and the aid station was packed with lots of drinks and goodies. If you've never run a G.A.C. sponsored race, you don't know what you are missing. My Blog

Something like that would be fun, if I were in the area. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It's way too far away from me, or I'd love to participate. Thanks for sharing the info, and I'm glad you had a good time!
