Hi All
I am now entered, and the race is now full (e-mail from the Race Director). So this is the first BIG target for 2012, and I
know a certain UltraJerry is also entered, so good excuse to try and arrange some training runs together end of this year/
beginning of next. I know it seems a long way off, but the weeks and months go really quick and based on the excellent
job the Centurion Running team did with the NDW26.2/50/100 last weekend, I am sure TP100 will be extremely well organised
and we will be well looked after at the CP's. I hope everyone is keeping well.

Self anointed title
Hi Purdey
Yes, I know, surprising the interest that Ultras are getting these days. I think the low number of 100milers in the UK and the
excellent feedback Centurion have received for there first races have meant a lot of people signing up for the TP100 already.
I think, as with most 100's there will be a few who unfortunately do not make the start line for various reasons, so it is probably
worth asking to be put on the reserve list, assuming you want to do the race of course .
What's next on the list for you? Out of interest, did your course record for 54321 stay intact over the weekend?
Mr Immune
Certainly and we have a good few LDWA events which are equidistant between us in:
Winter Tanners - 15th January 2012 (£3 entry )
Punchbowl Marathon - 12th February 2012 (£5 entry )
Slow events but good to get some of the Surrey Hills and Greensand Ridge in to our training and both 30 miles long, these would really fit in nicely with some back to backs
Kent and Sussex haven't got much in the way of challenges in the early part

Hello folks! Finally sorted out my access to this group (DraconianOne from RW forums - met a few of you on the Ridgeway 85 last year)
Figured I'd get my entry in before they closed but was too late. On waiting list now although James reckons there'll inevitably be some dropouts.
Excellent Trail Dragon
Hi Jezza/Rob
I might be up for the WInter Tanners. Be good time on feet rather than full out running. Will double check with Mrs I,
Cider IS carb loading
good-o
I've not heard from the Games 100 organisers.......and I've mailed them too
Although its only 21 days before my wedding, I am thinking Mrs UB might like a toned body for the honeymoon so I might opt for the SDW100 instead. Any thoughts?
and I'd get a buckle....just like those yanks!
Yes, Winter Tanners is on the cards and vectored into my training plans.....I love the Winter Tanners
Winter Tanners on my cards as well! Hopefully see you there boys
Hi all,
It seems like a perfect place to post but sorry for the irrelevant response which doesn't have anything to do with the Thames Path 100. But it's perfect in the sense that it is linked with my questionnaire and dissertation...
Sorry if it's totally irrelevant but I was just wondering if people could do me a huge favor and please fill in a quick 2 minute questionnaire on the motivations for participation in long distance running. It is for a university thesis so it would be a huge help for the research.
I'm a student at Sheffield Hallam University and very much into ultra races. I've been working alongside RacingThePlanet, an ultra-marathon company based in Hong Kong. I have been out to there events in Iceland and the Gobi Desert and would highly recommend their 4Deserts events series.
The survey is looking for ultra runners. The current literature linked with participation and the motivations provide analytical views and studies on the concept of class/cultural/social and economic aspects related to running.
