Cider IS carb loading

    I'm now in! SDW100!!!!

I much prefer running in the summer and up and down big hills than along rivers and canals! Must be the Northern blood in me

So, the LDWA100 are releasing their entrants list in 2 weeks but this one IS the one for me. Any takers???

      Nice one Rob!

Unfortunately not for me as I have already entered the North Downs 100! Can't wait to here about the build up to it

        Hi Rob

Glad you have taken the plunge so to speak with one of the 100milers being laid on by Centurion Running.
SDW100 should be brilliant, right up my street as well, I may try and do NDW100 but we will see how things

go over the coming months / how I feel post GUCR.

Are you doing Portsmouth Coastal on 18th Dec? Be great to see you and catch up.

        Cider IS carb loading

I am probably doing Portsmouth but am going to trot around at easy pace which means doing in excess of 4hrs. I'm not built for speed at marathon distance at the mo, and am enjoying the slow running so will build after xmas.

Jeez. Just done Gatliff with Jezza and George.

This is one MF of a race...more like an Odyssey. 7 hours 43 to get round 50km! Well OK, we did get lost and I ended up on 56km but how long??!!

              Woooow

We were not too far behind you but took great joy snaffling the Cadbury's, cider & sea salt crisps, fruit and then a gentle solid plod back to the finish....cracking day out though

Well done gents. Puts that course record into perspective. Great time on feet for future events. Pity I missed it as would have been

                    Hi all,

It seems like a perfect place to post but sorry for the irrelevant response which doesn't have anything to do with the SDW100. But it's perfect in the sense that it is linked with my questionnaire and dissertation...

Sorry if it's totally irrelevant but I was just wondering if people could do me a huge favor and please fill in a quick 2 minute questionnaire on the motivations for participation in long distance running. It is for a university thesis so it would be a huge help for the research.

I'm a student at Sheffield Hallam University and very much into ultra races. I've been working alongside RacingThePlanet, an ultra-marathon company based in Hong Kong. I have been out to there events in Iceland and the Gobi Desert and would highly recommend their 4Deserts events series.

The survey is looking for ultra runners. The current literature linked with participation and the motivations provide analytical views and studies on the concept of class/cultural/social and economic aspects related to running.
