Yeah, George just called me and told me the price, nnnnoooo wwaaayyy.
I have just looked on Runner's Worls and it does say £86
Reasons......
1/ Extreme Running's organisational skills are rubbish
2/ £86!
3/ Two nights in a B&B
4/ No transport back from the finish
I reckon the race will take up two days of my life, soak up the about £200, and although I reckon it would be an awesome experience I think I can get that experience elsewhere, better organised and at a fraction of the cost.
Herts Stroller
£86!
Too greedy.
Too much.
Event would cost me >£200.
No thanks.
The 24hr race I did, which necessitated massive organisational effort, a team of some 40 lap counters, tables and tables of food and drink etc etc, cost a total of ....£24.
What was the secret, they wanted to know; in a thousand different ways they wanted to know The Secret. And not one of them was prepared, truly prepared to believe that it had not so much to do with chemicals and zippy mental tricks as with that most unprofound and sometimes heart-rending process of removing, molecule by molecule, the very tough rubber that comprised the bottoms of his training shoes. The Trial of Miles; Miles of Trials
