We had over 20 inches here. It took me 4 hours to clear out the driveway, sidewalks, etc. Some of the drifts were over 6 foot tall. Then the snowplow came and I had another hour of work... Enough, already!
Pushed my schedule back a day, no way I wanted to run outside yesterday, and my health club was closed. Ran 5 miles tonight, slippery but not bad.
It looks like we're in for the ice box again this weekend. Hey, Al Gore, where's this "global warming"???

lakerunr, we had about 14 inches here. I considered all the shoveling as cross training. I got out tonight and got in 7.2 miles, it actually wasn't too bad.
As for the global warming my thoughts of Wisconsin being the garden spot in a few years doesn't appear to be happening. take care

Was thinking about you guys ... We didn't get anything up here in LaCrosse. Just got back from an easy 4miles on clear roads.
Early Saturday morning might be ok, but after that it's gonna be another nasty weekend.
Take care.

Snow, shovel, repeat....snow, shovel, repeat.....
Sound familiar?
I'm so tired of winter I could scream. I've pretty much completely given up on the possibility that I will ever run outside again. I just don't see it happening for me. I've become a total wimp and seemingly only run on treadmills and indoor tracks. I'll probably require knee surgery when my feet finally hit asphalt.
I ran outside last weekend and the village of Sussex felt there was no particular reason to clear any streets or use any salt - it's the weekend after all and who's stupid enough to go outside? Give me just one day of 50 degree weather were I don't have to worry about ice or sliding backwards down a steep hill......

Well I hate to rub it in but us up here in the northland have not had much snow.
You guys can keep it all down there in the south. But now the wind and the temps this weekend now that's another story!!
